Alex Jones Will Take Care Of Your COVID-19 Fears With Food Buckets, Iodine and Colloidal Silver

One thing is clear, says conspiracy theorist and fringe pitch man Alex Jones: “It’s not a matter of IF you’ll need storable food, but WHEN!” That was the word from Jones on “InfoWars” Tuesday, in between rants from the conspiracist about how the novel coronavirus pandemic was in fact the result of a Chinese Communist Party bioweapon originally transferred to the country by former President Barack Obama. Or, in Jones’ words, “a huge, big pharma, deep state, ChiCom hoax!” Jones, like many of hi...

SurvivalistBoards YouTube Channel Renamed to RuralPrepper

In April of 2018 the SurvivalistBoards YouTube channel was renamed to RuralPrepper. Some of the viewers were asking why the name changed. So let’s take a few minutes and talk about it. I have been into survivalism since at least the 1990s. Part of the way I was raised – hunting fishing, gardening… in the 1970s was the foundation for my survivalist plans. Granny had her milk cow, chickens, turkeys, fig tree, pear trees, etc. Dad would take my brother and I fishing and hunting as soon as ...

Susie's Survival Strategies - September

September is National Preparedness Month. When facing an emergency situation, it is important to have certain survival strategies in place. Being prepared is an essential strategy for survival. The following are a few of my survival tips on ways to be prepared in order to stay safe and alive:Make designated "safe spots" or "meeting places" in case you get separated. Create a plan of action that everyone in your family can follow and alter that plan for different situations (i.e. hurricane, fire...

AquaDam saved Prepper's house in Texas

Cost him $8300, but his house is pretty big, so it should be about $5000 for an average 3 BR house. Fills up with water, so that a lot of water prep too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vd3I5HSz4s This guy says that his community was making fun of him for contraption, like Noah. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3aSRk0YwHos :D:

Accounts in other countries and bitcoin?

Just coming around to the idea of something like bitcoin and curious if someone were able to use it to set up practically untraceable offshore accounts? Or is this what it is being used to do right now? Is this how it might work? Joe uses $4500 to put a bitcoin in his wallet. He has a public key to the wallet and a private key. The wallet is however anonymous. Nobody knows that Joe has the key to this wallet except Joe. Joe then goes to the public library and emails the Bank of Uzbeki...

Hey Preppers: Ham Radio requires a license (whether your magazine says so or not)

While I am not an outdoorsman, I enjoy thumbing through Backpacker and Outside magazines, mostly for the product reviews. Likewise, I look at an occasional “prepper” magazine, aimed at those who someday expect to be fighting off US Marshals and Navy Seals about to do, well, what? Most preppers are more normal folks and, if we are honest, emergency-oriented hams share many of the same interests. In fact, we have had a number of preppers and suspect preppers in our HamCram licensing events.  T...

Trump has caused a growing number of liberals to start prepping for an apocalypse

The afternoon after Trump won the presidential election,  Colin Waugh, a 31-year-old resident of Independence, Missouri, logged into Facebook. He then created  a group called  the Liberal Prepper and  invited 38 of his friends. The goal of the Facebook group, Waugh wrote, is to " combine minds and hearts, with an emphasis on preparedness, in a time where a progressive way of life has never been more at risk of becoming taboo or altogether ostracized." Three weeks later, The Liberal Preppe...

Are you a Preschool or PhD Prepper?

I was watching a YouTube video by The Canadian Prepper and he referred to novice preppers as "Preschool Preppers" and advanced preppers as "PhD Preppers." I began to wonder which am I? I'd like to think of myself as a High School Prepper (9th or 10th grade since I have a ways to go). I have food and water covered as well as some of my household needs (oil lamps, kerosene heaters, generator). What I'd need to graduate to the next level are the bags (Bug Out Bag, Get Home Bag, etc.), Bug Out Veh...

I'm new here from UTAH and I was asked to introduce myself

My name is Ray from Utah and I'm new to your group but not so new to prepping. This election is crazy isn't it? I'm so glad its almost behind us. I must admit I've been sucked in by the Make American Great Again slogan. You'd think once you heard one of those slogans and realized it was a complete lie that you'd never buy into it again BUT again...I feel like he might mean it. What do you all think? There is so much I could write about myself but like most people who are preppers, Privacy ...

5 Items to Prepare for Hurricane Season

The first big hurricane of the season, Hurricane Hermine, is here. Hopefully everyone is prepared to face her but she won't be the last of the season so make sure you're prepared for this and every storm to come. We've put together a small list of items you should have on hand in case of a hurricane:1. Sandbags - if you're close to the shore (and sometimes even if you're not) flooding becomes a major issue during a hurricane. Stack up some sandbags to keep the water out.2. Emergency Lighting - ...

Build A Blackout Survival Kit

Even if you are not into prepping or survivalism having a blackout kit is one of those things that just makes sense for any and every household. Just about everyone experiences blackouts or power outages. With climate change and all the crazy weather that has hit our country in the past few years I think a blackout kit is smart. Anyone can be adversely affected by an outage due to severe rain and flooding, a snow storm, or an ice storm. It is best to be prepared and to do that you need to think ...

Dirt bike for wife. Prepper focus or something more practical?

Looking at two starter dirt bikes for my wife: New Honda CRF 125F: electric start, $3000 out the door. New, old stock CRF 80F, which was discontinued in 2013. The dealer will let me have it for $2000. Non electric start and actually made in Japan (better quality?) The seat height and power displacement are the same despite the displacement difference. Both will come with a 6 month warranty. I'd like to save money but it seems that the electric start option would make her life easier. ...
