Celebrate National Margarita Day with this simple recipe

Happy National Margarita Day, where it’s time to have a fiesta on a Monday! We can’t complain about having them back to back as much as we wish it were on a Taco Tuesday. So if you’re thinking of having some homemade margaritas at your home, then we’re here to help with this tasty recipe. The great thing about making margaritas at home is that they’re easy to make and yummy drinks along with any of your favorite Mexican dishes.

Here is a simple recipe for a three-step homemade margarita recipe.

To start the party at your place, you’ll want to choose your favorite tequila. Everyone has their favorite kind of silver or reposado that they prefer in their margaritas.

Next, you’ll want to get some fresh limes to squeeze. Make sure they’re ripe and ready to be squeezed into a glass before combining them. Save some limes for the end to toss in for a great aesthetic.

Finally, you can either combine these with your favorite margarita mix or another kind of orange liqueur. When looking for a margarita mix, double-check if you’re getting the premixed or alcohol-free version. If you choose to double the tequila, that’s up to you! Find the best mix for the flavors you want. You can find flavors other than lime, including strawberry, mango, and more. The mixture gives the margarita its unique taste and gives it an extra kick to your drink.

To complete the drink, you’ll want to add some salt to the rims. If you’re going to add some spice to your life, add Tajin.

Step One:

You’ve seen it at the bar a hundred times. Run a fresh lime around the rim of your glass. Then dip the edge into the salt or Tajin to prepare your glass for the margarita.

Step Two:

Do you like your drinks mixed or shaken? Combine all of the ingredients, including the tequila, margarita mix, and a dash of orange liquor if you choose to. Add ice to make the drink perfectly cold. Throw these ingredients into a cocktail shaker for an on-the-rocks drink.

Step Three:

Shake the mixer until it’s thoroughly mixed and pour into your prepped margarita glass with salt on the rim.

A Frozen Step Three:

Throw in all of the ingredients, including ice, into a blender for a frozen margarita drink. Blend your mixture until it looks like a perfectly frozen slushy. These icy drinks are sure to cool off the night before biting into your meals.

Drink responsibly and enjoy your refreshing beverages!
