Prodigy minder dies weeks after Keith Flint is discovered hangedThe band Prodigy has suffered a second tragedy after it emerged its minder has died just weeks after the group’s frontman was found hanged at his Essex home. The death of Cornelius Murphy, known as “Con”, was announced on Prodigy’s website which paid tribute to him saying he was “Superman” who “always had our backs”. They posted a touching picture of him holding up Keith Flint, the band’s late singer, at a concert. The group has not revealed the security man’s real name nor the cause of his death. However, his daughter, Charlee Murphy-Frost told the Telegraph her "brave" father from West London had died on Friday after a long battle with cancer. She said Con had passed away at Thames Hospice in Windsor “peacefully bringing to an end his long fight with cancer, a battle he fought with the bravest determination and the utmost stoicism.” Con, his family and members of Prodigy had helped to promote the work of Myeloma UK, the charity fighting the blood cancer he was diagnosed with 10 years ago.  Around 5,700 people are diagnosed with myeloma each year in the UK.  Keith Flint, singer of the British band Prodigy, performs on stage, at the Gurten open air Festival in Bern, Switzerland Credit: MONIKA FLUECKIGER/KEYSTONE Members of Prodigy, including Mr Flint, had posted pictures last year of themselves wearing bracelets made by Con's wife, Jayne, which promoted and raised funds for Myeloma UK. His daughter posted a moving tribute online which read: "In the early hours of this morning, my dad took his final breaths, peacefully bringing to an end his long fight with cancer - a battle he fought with the bravest determination and the utmost stoicism. "Up until and including his final moments, he was surrounded by the incredible friends and family that he was so proud to say he knew and loved. I'll miss him so so much. An inquest found he had died as a result of hanging. The singer’s funeral attracted hundreds of devoted fans who danced through the streets of Braintree as his coffin was taken to his local church. Many of the fans had travelled from across Europe to pay tribute. The band had invited fans to “raise the roof” in memory of the musician, known as ‘Keef’.
